The Nominating and Elections Committee (NEC) has been busy making preparations for the 36th MidYear Career Planning Conference coming up on November 9-11, 2018 in Louisville, KY. Registration is now open, and we look forward to meeting many of you there. We will have numerous opportunities to talk with potential candidates and explain more about the election process throughout the conference. Whether currently serving at the local or state level within this organization, we hope that you will consider running for a national office position. There are many ways to pursue leadership development as a nursing student, and we would love to talk with you more about what that might look like as a candidate for national office.
As future registered nurses, there is a common thread that runs through us all: the desire to help people. The NEC would like to work with you to take another step in furthering your nursing education and professional development, providing new opportunities to learn and grow in ways you may have previously never considered. Running for national office will both challenge and strengthen you in ways you never expected, and we would love to help you get started with that process.
Please visit the running for office page on the NSNA website to review information on how to run for office. After reviewing the website, if you would like an application for national office and a packet with all of the details, simply complete the request for information form by clicking here. NSNA will send you the link to the Running for NSNA Office online packet.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to your NEC representative with any questions you may have and we look forward to meeting many of you soon in Louisville!
