What to Expect? This space will feature a mixed modality simulation lab with a combination of virtual and manikin-based simulations and will provide you with evaluation data about what was learned in the sessions. Additionally, the space will showcase new, exciting product innovations, which we’re eager to co-develop with the nursing students who will eventually use them.
Our simulation labs will provide hands-on opportunities to practice your skills & challenge your clinical judgment across a range of modalities. In the learning sessions, you will be invited to test new ideas and prototypes being developed for the future of nursing education.
Simulations: RQI for Nursing Practice Session Come join Resuscitation Quality Improvement Partners (RQIP) in Laerdal Innovation Space and practice your CPR skills utilizing the RQI solution! You never know when you will need to use your CPR skills and maintaining competence of those skills can be challenging for all health care providers. The RQI Simulation Station and program will give attendees an opportunity to perform simulated skills, view real time outcomes and see how RQI improves the quality of CPR education.

Learning Sessions: Treating Multiple Patients in VR: Learning Potentials Laerdal and WK are currently promoting vrClinicals, a VR product that simulates a full day clinical in a virtual hospital, challenging students to use their clinical judgement skills to treat multiple patients, including prioritizing and delegating. In this session, students will get a taste of Laerdal's newest education solution vrClinicals before it is even released for purchasing. Come experience a portion of the full day clinical in a virtual hospital where we will challenge you to use your clinical judgement skills, treat multiple patients and engage your skills in prioritization and delegation of care. During this session students will not only experience the vrClinicals solution and provide patient care as a team but we are also seeking student feedback as we look ahead to how it could be improved for the future.
