Session Info: Hands-on Nursing Skills Lab with Limbs & Things Objective: Hands-on workshop for nursing students to practice key skills. In our lab, students can practice key skills such as catheterization, diagnosing basic cardiovascular cases & recognizing a post-partum hemorrhage. This will be a self-directed skills lab, not a clinical training session. For an added layer of learning ART Link to DL app. What to Expect: Welcome to the Limbs & Things learning lab, where technology meets hands-on nursing education. In this environment, participants will engage in realistic clinical skills and scenarios designed to enhance both individual and team-based skills. Expect a blend of manikins, augmented reality, and task trainers that closely replicate real-world nursing procedures. This lab offers a unique opportunity to experience our innovation while refining your techniques on catheterization, postpartum hemorrhage, and cardiovascular diagnoses. You will leave with a new insight on how simulation can enhance your skill set and improve patient outcomes.
Sessions:
"Mastering Catheterization: A Hands-On Approach to Safe & Effective Practice” Description: In this session, students can get hands-on with our Catheterization model for clinical practice as well as landmark training utilizing our ART app.
“Cardiovascular Case Diagnosis: Enhancing Nursing Skills Through Simulation” Description: Working together, each small group works to determine patient presentations and diagnostic approaches.
“Rapid Response: Simulated Training for Early Recognition and Management of Postpartum-Hemorrhage” Description: This simulation-based session is aimed at enhancing rapid identification, clinical decision-making, and team coordination.
Schedule: All sessions can handle 3 students/session time. This is a prime opportunity to practice vital skills in your education path to becoming a proficient nurse. This experience is a self-directed learning lab for all levels of students. This relaxed environment is ideal for testing out skills that will become part of daily practice.
